"On The Web" by Richard Cairney
Clinton "needs to inhale once in a while," Jerry Falwell "needs to get laid, and hard, by a pro" and Jesse Helms "needs a dick in his mouth". Well, that would certainly keep him from saying more offensive things like that. But there's nothing stopping the electronic zine Urban Desires from saying whatever the hell it wants to.

Published electronically, this site is a gem. Indeed, it bills itself as an oasis for weary Internet travellers. And that pretty much describes it. You must visit this site if you enjoy intelligent writing and irreverent humor.

ZD INTERNET MAGAZINE - May 1997
"It's time for experimentation and optimism. Urban Desires is a perfect example of the adolescent's strategy for growing up: top to bottom self examinations that allow him to move foward to adulthood. Sites should be applauded when they try out intelligent new ideas; it takes creativity, grit, and courage to develop into a full scale being."

Flatiron News - Winter issue 1997
"For art and culture on the web, Urban Desires is the way to go."

Cherished Eye Candy Site - The Net anniversary issue volume 2 issue 1
"Urban Desires challenges viewers with in-your-face confrontations about art and culture, mesmerizing the metropolitan thirty something sect, it's voice is young and fresh and still wonderfully sophisticated."

The Editors of @NY Pick the Big Apple's Best Web Sites - June 9, 1996
"Imagine, if you can, a post-punk hybrid of the New York Review of Books, The Atlantic, and Condé Nast Traveler delivered with the latest in digital technology. That's Urban Desires, one of the first and best webzines in the universe. The magazine has become a proving ground for state-of-the-art digital storytelling for its corporate parent, Agency.Com. For example, a recent interview with the inventor of the computer game Myst was structured as a game that played differently each time a user accesses it. But what really sets UD apart is the literary quality of the material it publishes."
