I am HIV positive and was recently diagnosed with AIDS. Reflecting on this information, I decided to explore what it would mean to my life if I was not here, not present for my life. What would it look like if I was removed from my life? Using photographs from my childhood, I have digitized the images and marked myself out of them. The final results are printed on sheet metal. Therefore my image becomes the "Dead Space" in these photographs. The quotes are responses from friends and family after asking them what they would miss if I was gone.
