Text by Harry Moses Random House |
Harry Moses' interviews with men who have loved and restored classic trucks shed some light on how pick-ups came to be and why they are so appealing to the "red-blooded American male" William Bennet Steiz, whose photos have appeared in House Beautiful and Home, captures in glorious color the classic trucks and their owners. Photos range from a 1920 Reo Speedwagon parked on a shady farm in Perry, Iowa to a New Mexican roadside restaurateur's 1953 Chevrolet Deluxe 3600, to a fin-tailed 1960 El Camino 1280 in a kitschy Friendly, Maryland backyard.
