The deeply-textured, over-ripe gestures of Carrier's illustrations, stand
in striking contrast to his light touch, ethereal and minimalist graphic
design on the web. Speaking to this he describes the differences in the
two mediums. "On the computer, one just has to work with a tiny speck of
color next to another speck of color. I don't even see my hands. But on
my other stuff, the whole body is involved. You add some color, then maybe
rub it off, then add a little more. It is different than the computer, but
both mediums are satisfying. I try to throw myself into the work, and do
the best job I can no matter what the medium."
